Rose Forman
Ina Rose Fanger was born January 9, 1929 to Walter G. Fanger, Sr. and Inez B. (Burger) Fanger in Hughes County, SD. She grew up in Harrold, SD and attended high school in Pierre. After graduation, Rose attended college in Spearfish, SD. She then taught school in North Hyde County. Rose married Richard W. Forman on June 8, 1949 in Highmore, SD. The couple farmed and ranched in Hyde and Hand County for many years. In 1978, they moved to Miller where she resided until her death. Rose was very active in Extension Club, 4H Club, and animal judging schools. She enjoyed dancing, music, playing cards with anyone, and watching her Minnesota Twins play baseball. She also bowled in a league for many years. Rose worked at Lips Dinning Center and ran the Redfield Sale Barn Café for many years. She really loved to visit with people. She loved having her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren around her. Survivors include two sons, Rick (Carolyn) Forman of Ree Heights, Randi (Carolyn) Forman of Miller; one daughter Vicki (Mel) Harrell of Aberdeen; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, JC, Blade, Dale Lee and London; three Great sisters, Bessie (Rolly) Aman of Aberdeen, Alice Sandmeier of Denver, Della (Duane) Wilken of Huron; one brother Warren (Diane) Fanger of West Jordan, UT. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Richard on February 4, 2000, her parents, and one brother Walter Fanger Jr. Pallbearers are her nine grandchildren, Chad Forman, Ryan Forman, Rocky Forman, Brittany Kuemper, Tobie Harrell, Reed Forman, Crystal Forman, Tyler Harrell, and Cheyann Forman. |
