Jean M. Bossingham
Regina Marie (Jean) Albrecht was born at Mound City, South Dakota on September 22, 1916 to Philip and Christina (Shaffer) Albrecht. She attended school in Selby and finished school at St. Paul, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She worked at various jobs in cafes. In 1938 she was united in marriage with John Schmidt in South St. Paul and to this union one son (Sylvester) was born. In 1963 she moved to Aberdeen and stayed with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Wortman. They painted houses. In 1968 she moved back to Miller, South Dakota where she worked at the Prairie Good Samaritan Center for nine years and had to quit due to ill health. Survivors include her son Sylvester (Judy) Schmidt of Cottage Grove, MN; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Edna Hochhalter of Miller, Olga (John) Olson of Aberdeen. She was preceded in death by her husbands, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers. |
